The clone WM53 selectively binds with a 67kDa glycoprotein, known as CD33 having sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin. It belongs to the ITIM (immuno-receptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif) containing molecules able of recruiting protein tyrosine phosphatases. CD33 is expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells. It is absent on platelets, lymphocytes, erythrocytes and hematopoietic stem cells.
Each lot of these antibodies has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human PBMCs such that 0.5μg (unconjugated, Biotin) or 5μl (conjugated) of these products are sufficient for staining 1 million cells in a 100μl staining volume or 100μl of whole blood. It is recommended to titrate antibody reactivity empirically for optimal performance. Do you need an antibody for an antigen you don't see on our website? Do you need a different conjugation than what we have listed? We have a wide selection of antigens with a variety of conjugations available. Please reach out to us at support@geneseesci.com.
